Matej Smutny has been making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of heartfelt lyrics, captivating melodies, and a powerful stage presence that leaves audiences spellbound. Matej Smutny is a Slovak pop singer, song-writer, drummer and marimba player who has been signed under an exclusive license of Warner Music Czech Republic since 2020. There was a huge “boom” after his very first release of debut song Psycho Love, which took the first places in Slovak and Czech national radio charts multiple times.
Since then, Matej has gone far. He released one EP Van Stories and one album Aura. After unexpectable success in the Czech Republic, two of his songs rotated on MTV in Italy, Germany and Spain. His music is influenced by his huge idols such as U2, Coldplay or Imagine Dragons. Matej has also been traveling and performing in the United States (NY, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Boston) a lot, in NY he worked as a composer and a music director of a musical A Christmas Carol – A story of hope. His latest single release Dance Dance is currently being rotated in Slovak and Czech radio stations.
